I left betterdanthis.com to rot for the past few months, lots got in the way, work, life, some travel (thank god). And over the past weekend, with the help of a lovely friend, the engine got restarted to blog and do something about it.
This led me think how tough it is to blog now on WordPress, so much has changed compared to blogging on it years ago. I don’t know if it’s me, but it was way more straightforward previously, especially where it came to customising the site.
I guess I should have just perhaps stuck with Medium, or Ghost maybe, something a little more straightforward. But as much as it’s complicated, I think the site is more or less ready soon, with lots of trial and error, it’s taking shape to where I’d want it to be.
Ok whining aside, I’m back here now, and it’s going to be important now to find a way to get back into the groove of dropping blog posts more frequently. I doubt lots of people are going to read my random musings and thoughts, but I am telling myself “you’ve paid for this shit already, let’s get back to it.” Now to figure out what kind of content would actually work best here, how do I draw a good line between writing about more serious work-ish related things, and the fun projects / life stuff.
Whilst there are many projects that I feel like doing, I’m starting to feel the pinch of the lack of time, prioritisation and drive for some of them. I guess it’s normal to feel that way, especially with the long list of things I intend to attempt. But here’s me at least making a post, keeping my fingers crossed, more to come. I hope.
